Maya getting ready for week 2 of school

Maya spending some time with baby Eva getting ready for the 2nd week of school. Seems that spending days with an infant the last several weeks as part of our nanny-share transition has made babies particularly interesting for Maya. Just before this photo, she lifted up her shirt and told us that "baby Eva is drinking milk from Maya's breast." From the mouths of babes..

Maya's first full day

Here is Maya climbing into her bike trailer with lunchbox in hand ("it's heavy" was the comment that accompanied the clambering), off to her first full day of school, sleeping in her very own sleeping bag, with a promise to see Mom after her nap. So far, she's taken to school like a champ and seems to be quickly adapting and thriving. A sigh of relief and gratitude from us, both for these new caretakers, and in thanks for all the work Carmen has done being a source of contstant love and support for almost two years.
